Peter Yaghmaie is an associate at Shay Glenn LLP, where he focuses on patent prosecution.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Peter trained as a medical doctor, completing his coursework at Oregon Health & Science University, School of Medicine, and passing the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE).  Peter has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in medicine and medical diagnostics, biotechnology, medical devices, and cloud computing.

Peter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from UC Berkeley, a Masters of Public Health from Portland State University, and attended Oregon Health & Science University, School of Medicine. Peter completed his law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School, where he graduated cum laude and was the Lead Article Editor of the Lewis & Clark Law Review. Before joining ShayGlenn, Peter worked as a patent/IP attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Elliott, Ostrander & Preston, PC.
