Winston Chu is an attorney at Shay Glenn LLP where he focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, IP due diligence investigations including freedom-to-operate and clearance analyses, and strategic patent counseling. Winston has patent experience with a wide variety of technologies including medical devices, biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, wireless technologies, engines, analyte sensors and risk management technologies.
Prior to joining Shay Glenn LLP, Winston was an associate at Jackson & Co., LLP, where his practice focused on patent prosecution and reexaminations in continuous glucose monitoring technology and risk management technology. Prior to Jackson & Co., Winston was an associate at Knobbe Martens Olsen & Bear LLP where his practice focused on patent prosecution in medical devices and biotechnology. Prior to attending law school, Winston worked at Merck on the development of an HIV vaccine.
Winston received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and both his B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Chemical Engineering and his M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
